Roller coaster for the ‘Huskers this year. The Hawkeyes will need to bring their “A” game with pitching, hitting, and defense all weekend. Great “measuring stick” weekend of games.

Derailing the thread a little bit. I think the injury bug hit Nebraska at one key position. Potentially they can be better than their results reflect.

Last season Nebraska was ahead of a lot of other B1G teams in terms of bringing in transfers. As importantly, or maybe more importantly, their coach and staff did a really good job having the new guys buy in and assimilate. Iowa is in the same type of situation this season. Maybe all B1G teams are now given the new transfer landscape.

Nebraska is something like 5-2 vs. top 25 teams this year.......but the pitching is just all over the place. Not a ton of control or consistency for sure.

They can't leave the B1G regular season champs out of the NCAA Tournament, right? ;)

Just 9 conference games left for Iowa.

Here’s hoping Penn State can claw one out. The civil war series should be interesting. I think we marginally have to hope Oregon wins since it’d have more downstream effect with our common opponents. And of course we could play them a fourth time.

2 out of 3 in those types of ranked series don’t usually change the writers rankings much
