Big Ten Football vs. College Football nationally

So, in the Big Ten, will it be a return of B1G 2 during the 2022 season?

At one time, Ohio State and Michigan, were the B1G 2 from 1968 to 1980. Iowa played a B1G role in ending that streak. It pops up occasionally in certain seasons. And, with certain media outlets who like it that way.

Many around the SEC or elsewhere have a low regard for the B1G, especially the Big Ten West, even Michigan State and Michigan, who didn't do much, when they got their 15 minutes of fame in the College Football Playoff in 2015 and 2021, respectively. Year to year, Penn State often enter the season ranked, though they are .500, since 2020 at 11-11. James Franklin has raised his cost for win moving forward as head coachm

Of course, how often do we hear, Ohio State is the only worthy SEC program?

Looking at College Football elsewhere, are Texas A&M, USC and Texas back? None of these programs were AP Top 25 last year, though A&M was 25th in the coaches.

Is Miami-FL really a title contender in the ACC? Will they finally win 🏆 something, since they won the Big East in 2003?

Amazing stat or take, when you think Iowa State has never won a Big 6-8-12 title ever. You have to go back to 1911 and 1912, when Nebraska and Iowa State won co-championships in what became today the Missouri Valley football Conference.

Of course, it is the Big Ten that I am most passionate about. The Hawks in particular.

The Hawkeyes have won six straight Cy-Hawk trophies over arch-rival Iowa State and finished in the AP Top 25 in each of the last four seasons. They also went 10-4 last season, winning the Big Ten West Coach Kirk Ferentz has established one of the most stable programs in the country, and that doesn’t appear to be in jeopardy anytime soon. – Sallee, CBS Sports.
