Not a huge surprise with either of these commitments, but the league is really getting tougher.

Lamar Stevens, who Iowa had offered at one point, surprised no one and joined Tony Carr as a Penn State commit. Pat Chambers is putting together quite a class. Pair of 4 stars from the Philly area and a couple of three stars. They really cleaned up with Team Final (AAU team) players and got three of them.

Speaking of Team Final, I mentioned this the other day in a thread, but one time Iowa target Dylan Painter, committed to Villanova the other day. No surprise there. Everyone sort of expected that one once they offered. Painter did make an official to Iowa.

The other big news today is Cassius Winston, a four star guard, committed to Michigan State. The Spartans already have a five star guard wing on board this year in Josh Langford, to go with Nick Ward, a big man with a wide body that Iowa had also offered. Now they wait to see if they can get Miles Bridges to join Winston. They played on The Family AAU team together most of the summer. Bridges is a five star wing forward. If they get Bridges, then Sparty might have the top class in the country.
