I know KenPom includes previous year info to start the year, but it is promising for our B1G projection that Illinois and Rutgers struggled so mightily with lesser competition (knock on wood for tonight). KenPom's projected standings (since it is behind a paywall, not going to give the full record projections):

Hopefully the Illinois and Rutgers placement is correct and we don't have to worry about Minnesota or Northwestern either (and Nebraska already got taken to the woodshed, so no need to beat them while they're down).

It's early, and the black and gold sunglasses still fit comfortably, but the ceiling for this team is pretty decent with quite a few swing games and not a lot of expected losses.
 
If there's a tie in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, I suggest they count the point differential. So far Big Ten has outscored ACC by 26 points.

How about an upstart team not a member of the Big Ten going undefeated against Iowa, Minnesota, & Northwestern this year...if DePaul was a member of the BIG they might finish in the top 5 in the conference.
 
Last year, we were 5-3 in January. We are currently 4-2 with Wisconsin here and Maryland at their place. Will we finish with the same record in January as last year?
