  • Led the Gophers with 22 points and eight rebounds in Minnesota’s 75-57 win over previously undefeated and then-ranked No. 7/No. 5 Michigan.
  • Made a season-high eight field goals, including a season-high three 3-pointers, while shooting 8-for-13 (.615 pct.) from the field. Was a perfect 3-for-3 (1.000 pct.) from three-point range and also made all three free-throw attempts (1.000 pct.).
  • Added a season-high two steals, two blocked shots and one assist in just 22 minutes of action.
  • Earns the second Player of the Week accolade of his career; was first named Big Ten Player of the Week on Jan. 4, 2021

  • Averaged 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in wins over Indiana and Penn State to help Purdue improve to 10-5 overall on the season and 5-3 in the Big Ten.
  • Recorded double-doubles in both contests and has now notched five double-doubles on the season. Has also scored in double-figures in 10 straight games and has averaged 18.0 points and 9.4 rebounds per game during that span.
  • Led the team in both points (22) and rebounds (10) in the Boilermakers’ 81-69 win at Indiana. Surpassed 500 career rebounds during the game.
  • Registered his fifth double-double of the season in Purdue’s 80-72 victory over Penn State. In just 19 minutes of action, scored 13 points and led the team with 11 rebounds, while adding an assist and a steal in the win.
  • Currently ranks fifth in the country in total rebounds (145) and 11th in made field goals (100).

Freshman of the Week
Brandon Newman, Purdue

  • Averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game in Purdue’s wins against Indiana and Penn State. Also added two assists and two steals on the week. Held the oppositions’ top guards to a combined 6-for-24 (.250 pct.) shooting on the week.
  • Scored 12 points (second-most on the team) and added six defensive rebounds to open the week in the Boilermakers’ 81-69 win at Indiana. Also notched one block and two steals in the win.
  • Registered 13 points and grabbed five defensive rebounds in the team’s 80-72 win vs. Penn State. Led the team with three blocked shots in the contest.
  • Has now recorded double-digit points in nine games this season, including six such performances in conference play.
  • Becomes the third Boilermaker freshman to be named Big Ten Freshman of the Week this season. Fellow freshmen Zach Edey and Mason Gillis won the award on Nov. 11 and Dec. 21, respectively.
  • Earns the first Freshman of the Week accolade of his career.

• Nearly produced a triple-double on Jan. 16 in Nebraska’s win over No. 15 Ohio State, tying her career high with 22 points (on 10-of-14 shooting), while adding 12 rebounds and nine blocks
• Her nine blocks also tied for the second-highest single-game total in school history
• Has twice been named a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten selection (2019, 2020) and earned her undergraduate degree in management in August 2020
• Earns her first career Big Ten Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Caitlin Clark, Iowa
Fr. – G – West Des Moines, Iowa – Dowling Catholic – Major: Undeclared

• Recorded her fourth career double-double on Jan. 13 in a two-point overtime loss to No. 15 Ohio State, finishing with 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists
• Ended up with game-high honors for points and assists, while posting the second-most rebounds in the contest
• Scored 13 first-quarter points, including four three-pointers, on the way to her ninth 20-point game this season
• Collects the seventh Freshman of the Week award of her career, tying for the third-most freshman honors in a single season (most since Minnesota’s Destiny Pitts earned seven awards in 2017-18)
