• Averaged 26.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocked shots in Michigan’s two wins last week
• Shot 9-for-11 from the field, scoring 22 points, and grabbed 12 rebounds in a 75-56 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne
• Became the 57th player in program history to record 1,000 career points in Monday’s win
• Recorded 31 points on 13-for-17 shooting to lead the Wolverines to an 88-83 come-from-behind win over Eastern Michigan
• Earns the second Player of the Week accolade of his career

Freshman of the Week
Jett Howard, Michigan
G – 6-8 – Miami, Fla. – IMG Academy

• Averaged 15.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.5 blocked shots in a pair of Michigan victories
• Recorded 21 points on 8-15 shooting with five made three-pointers and a team-high five assists in a 75-56 win over Purdue Fort Wayn
• Went 10-for-23 from the floor, including 7-for-17 from three-point range, in wins over Purdue Fort Wayne and Eastern Michigan
• Earns his first career Freshman of the Week honor

Monika Czinano, Iowa
5th-Yr. – C/F – Watertown, Minn. – Watertown-Mayer – Major: Biology
• Averaged 23.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game with a .692 field-goal percentage last week as No. 4/6 Iowa tipped off the 2022-23 season with three victories in as many outings
• Posted her seventh career double-double in Sunday’s overtime win at in-state rival Drake, collecting a game-high 36 points (14-21 FG) and 11 rebounds
• Added 23 points (10-14 FG) and seven rebounds in just 19 minutes of the Hawkeyes’ Nov. 10 win over Evansville, helping Iowa score a school-record 115 points in the victory
• A three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection (2020, 2021, 2022)
• Earns her second career Big Ten Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Mara Braun, Minnesota
G – Wayzata, Minn. – Wayzata – Intended Major: Psychology
• Averaged 27.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals per game last week to help Minnesota open its season with victories over Western Illinois and Lehigh
• Scored a game-high 34 points in Sunday’s win over Lehigh, including the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer, the first last-second winning shot by a Golden Gopher since Feb. 24, 2016 (Carlie Wagner in overtime vs. Ohio State)
• Her 34 points were also the second-most ever scored by a Minnesota freshman and most since 1983
• Collects her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week award
