- Set an Illinois freshman record for rebounds in a game with 17 to go along with a team-high 18 points in a victory over The Citadel
- Opened the week with 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in a win over Hawai’i
- Recorded his second career 20-point game with a team-high 20 points along with a game-best 13 rebounds in a triumph over Hampton
- Leads the Big Ten with 12.7 rebounds per game, which ranks fifth in the nation
- With a 15.8 points per game scoring average, stands as the only freshman in the nation averaging a double-double
- The last Big Ten student to earn both Player and Freshman of the Week honors in the same week was Michigan State’s Nick Ward on Feb. 27, 2017
