C - Luka Garza, Iowa (SR)

- Averaged 33.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots per game in victories over North Carolina Central and Southern. Garza currently leads the nation with 33.5 ppg
- Shot 86.0 percent from the field, 75.0 percent from 3-point range and 87.5 percent from the free throw line
- Scored 41 points against Southern, which accounted for 40 percent of Iowa's scoring in its 103-76 victory. The 41 points marked the highest single-game total scored by a Hawkeye in the history of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. According to Iowa, his 36 first-half points are believed to be the most scored by a Hawkeye in a half in program history
- Earns the third Player of the Week accolade of his career; wa a two-time Freshman of the Week honoree in 2017-18

Co-Freshmen of the Week
G - Adam Miller, Illinois (FR)

- Averaged 18.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in three Illini wins to start his career, scoring in double figures in all three games
- Set the Illini freshman-debut scoring record with 28 points vs. North Carolina A&T, breaking the previous mark of 22 set by Brandon Paul (Nov. 13, 2009)
- Made 10-of-12 shots (.833) against North Carolina A&T, including 6-of-8 (.750) from behind the arc. His 83.3 field goal percentage in the win marked the fifth-best shooting percentage ever by an Illini freshman
- Last Illinois Freshman of the Week: Kofi Cockburn (Jan. 27, 2020)

C - Zach Edey, Purdue (FR)
- Averaged 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds, while shooting 83.3 percent from the field during Purdue's two contests vs. Liberty and Clemson
- His 83.3 field goal percentage is tied for second in the nation among players with 15 or more attempts
- In the first game of his career, scored 19 points and registered five rebounds. Finished the season-opening win vs. Liberty 9-of-10 from the field (.900)

WOMEN

Player of the Week
F - Naz Hillmon, Michigan (JR)

- Averaged 30.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game with a .737 field-goal percentage and a double-double to help No. 25/24 Michigan to season-opening wins over Central Michigan and Oakland last week
- Scored a career-high 35 points (most by a Big Ten student-athlete this season) and grabbed seven rebounds in 29 minutes of the Nov. 27 win at Oakland
- Posted a double-double (26 points, 11 rebounds) in a Nov. 25 victory over Central Michigan
- Named an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 2019-20
- Earns her second career Big Ten Player of the Week award

Co-Freshmen of the Week
G - Caitlin Clark, Iowa (FR)

- Registered a game-high 27 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to help the Hawkeyes to a season-opening victory over Northern Iowa on Nov. 25
- Clark's 27 points are believed to be the most by a Big Ten women's basketball freshman in her debut since Dec. 1, 1992 (Illinois' Robbyn Preacely -- 27 points at Illinois State)
- Helped Iowa record its 37th consecutive home win, the second-longest active streak in the nation
- Collects the first Freshman of the Week award of her career
- Last Iowa Freshman of the Week: McKenna Warnock (Jan. 27, 2020)

F/G - Angel Reese, Maryland (FR)
- Averaged 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game with a .563 field goal percentage to help No. 12/11 Maryland to a 2-1 record in the #BeachBubble at the Gulf Coast Showcase last weekend in Fort Myers, Florida
- Earned a spot on the all-tournament team and narrowly missed posting three double-doubles (one rebound short vs. Davidson and No. 24/25 Missouri State, two rebounds away against No. 14 Arkansas)
- Helped the Terrapins to a Big Ten record for points against a ranked opponent in Sunday's 115-96 win over 14th-ranked Arkansas
- Receives the first Freshman of the Week Award of her career
- Last Maryland Freshman of the Week: Ashley Owusu (March 2, 2020)
 
33.5 ppg/9.5 rpg would be a real tough standard to maintain, but if anyone can do it, its Garzilla.
