Lamar Stevens, Penn State

  • Recorded back-to-back double-doubles in leading Penn State to a 2-0 record during the week, including game-high totals in points (18) and rebounds (11) in a victory over No. 4, and previously undefeated, Maryland
  • Averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, five assists and 3.5 blocked shots for the week, giving Penn State its best start at 9-2 since the 2014-15 season
  • Scored a team-best 15 points and career-best totals in assists (6) and blocks (5) to go along with 10 rebounds versus Alabama on Saturday
  • Against Maryland, moved to the No. 4 spot on Penn State's all-time scoring list with 1,844 career points
  • Ranks in Penn State’s top 10 for career rebounds (747) and career blocks (104)

Kofi Cockburn, Illinois
C – Fr. – 7-0 – Kingston, Jamaica – Oak Hill Academy (Va.) – Major: General Studies
  • Averaged 15.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks last week in a pair of Illini wins, including against then-No. 5 Michigan
  • Led Illinois to its first victory over a top-5 team since 2013, recording game highs of 19 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 4 blocks in the win over the Wolverines
  • The 19 points and 10 recounds versus Michigan marked his sixth double-double of the season, tying the Illinois season record for double-doubles by a freshman in just his 10th game
  • Leads all Big Ten freshmen in scoring (6th overall) and rebounding (2nd overall) for the season
  • Earns the fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of his career
  • Becomes the first Illinois player to earn Freshman of the Week four times in one season in Big Ten history

  • Averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds and shot .650 from the field in wins over Connecticut in the Jimmy V Classic and Nebraska
  • Also added 2.5 assists and 1.5 blocks and steals per game over the week
  • Versus Nebraska, posted career-highs with 25 points and 15 rebounds, including 22 points in the second half and overtime, marking his fifth double-double of the season
  • Posted eight points, seven boards, three assists and two steals in the 57-54 victory over UConn
  • Earns the third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of his career

Destiny Pitts, Minnesota

• Averaged 21.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game last week to help the Golden Gophers extend their winning streak to nine games with victories over George Washington and UC Davis
• Registered 20 points, six rebounds and a career high-tying seven assists on Dec. 10 at George Washington
• Finished with 22 points and a season-high nine rebounds in Sunday’s win over UC Davis
• Named an Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2018-19
• Earns her first Big Ten Player of the Week award

Freshman of the Week
Kennedi Myles, Illinois
F – Cincinnati, Ohio – Walnut Hills – Major: Recreation, Sport and Tourism
• Averaged 15.5 points and 16.0 rebounds per game with a double-double last week as Illinois improved to 8-2 this season with wins over Merrimack and Evansville
• Grabbed an Illinois freshman record 20 rebounds in Sunday’s win over Evansville, breaking the previous school freshman record of 18 rebounds set twice during the 1975-76 season
• Posted 23 points and 12 rebounds in a Dec. 10 win over Merrimack
• Collects her first Freshman of the Week award
