We like him too!Ken Pomeroy likes the Hawks in the Big Ten Tournament.
Need to beat Rutgers 1stIowa has as good a shot as anyone. Still the hottest team in the league. Should've won last night and they'll get another shot at them in the semis.
I've been to three of them. Stopped going, mainly because my job changed, but I did tell myself to stop going because we lost the first game each time..Fun fact: Fran has never won more than one game in the BTT.
We will need to worry about beating Nebraska first.

Agreed. If they don't scare folks the way they've been playing recently, they should. We will need to worry about beating Nebraska first.
Pathetic, any way you look at it. If I had to guess, I would think that is the worst of all Big 10 teams…..or close to it.Funner facts:
Iowa has never won a BTT game as a #5 seed
Iowa has won more than 1 game in the BTT a grand total of 4 times in 23 appearance, and not since last winning the thing in 2006.
Not sure on that stat, but here are all-time records:Pathetic, any way you look at it. If I had to guess, I would think that is the worst of all Big 10 teams…..or close to it.
We just did, at Nebraska. I made the comment right after that game that up to that point, Nebraska played their best game of the year...they continued that play the rest of the season. So I say we did beat Nebraska when they were peaking. We will need to worry about beating Nebraska first.
I was mostly focused on Iowa winning more than 1 game only 4 times in 23 years. It would be interesting to see which Big 10 teams have done worse. Not sure on that stat, but here are all-time records:
Michigan State: 32-17 (.653), 6 titles, 7 finals
Ohio State: 30-16 (.652), 4 titles, 9 finals
Illinois: 31-20 (.608), 3 titles, 7 finals
Michigan: 25-19 (.568), 2 titles, 4 finals
Wisconsin: 26-20 (.608), 3 titles, 4 finals
Iowa: 18-21 (.462), 2 titles, 3 finals
Minnesota: 18-21 (.462), 0 titles, 0 finals
Rutgers: 4-6 (.400), 0 titles, 0 finals
Penn State: 15-23 (.395), 0 titles, 1 final
Purdue: 14-22 (.389), 1 title, 4 finals
Indiana: 13-23 (.361), 0 titles, 1 final
Nebraska: 5-10 (.333), 0 titles, 0 finals
Maryland: 3-6 (.333), 0 titles, 0 finals
Northwestern: 9-24 (.273), 0 titles, 0 finals
Considering the damn thing is Indy over half the time, Indiana’s and Purdue’s records stand out as astonishingly bad…
