It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

Go Hawks!

ADS has to pull the trigger this time when in deep. Execute and be ready for the scramble, this is a mental war for ADS more than anything right now.
Finishing a TD against elite competition is certainly more than a mental issue as some have said. RbY and Fix have a combination of strength, skill, flexibility, etc that are just better than that of ADS.

He's close but just not able to finish. It sucks because we watch him destroy other opponents but he cannot finish on those two.

Hopefully make an adjustment and be able to get it done in March like Perry finally did against Hendricks his JR year.

Lost faith in refs getting it right after the DeSanto/Pletcher match.

I was just a stripling at the time but I thought Juergens was more of a low scoring type wrestler so this makes sense.
I don't know who had the techs in '99, but Juergens was never a sit-on-a-lead kind of guy. In HS he had over 100 pins (quite a bit over, I think) teched the State 2nd placer twice that year (I think he went easy on him in the finals and only beat him by 12 or something like that). I was skeptical of him until I saw him several times his senior year. The best and most dominating HS wrestler I ever saw in person, and I saw McGinnis, Kerber, Mark Schwab, Dan Knight, and others. Even in college, he wasn't a low-scoring type very often. He was a screw job by the ref (Moore jumping the start and not getting called) and a match he got ambushed (and later avenged) in, from being a 4-timer. It could have been him in '99 that had 10 techs. I would think he was more likely than Schwab.
