That had to be the worst game Rutgers has played all season but yes we needed a win desperately.

Needed that one! I wish Fran would scrap the zone, it’s horrible. We give up wide open 3’s and don’t rebound worth a damn out of it. We build up leads playing man and switch to zone to let teams back in. Frustrating. Good thing Rutgers was 2-19 from long when the game was still in doubt.
Mark this date. JW plays best game of his college career. Two Hawkeyes get double doubles. Joey T finally hit the breaking point and will decide to transfer.

Didn't see enough of the game to judge the defense. Rutgers was 6/28 from 3pt line. so the zone dodged a bullet vs a team that doesn't shoot the 3ball consistently well but is capable of going off. Winning when you've been losing is big, but Iowa still needs to play better, Fredrick needs to get healthy, and Fran needs to improve his substitution patterns. This team can still make a run in post season if they get on a roll.

Iowa is definitely a solid under bet right now until Vegas adjusts.
We're not gonna average close to 90 pts a game in our remaining conference schedule unless the other team just sucks on defense that night.
Well, from what I saw several of those 3s were later-stage "lets start chucking 3s and hope they go in" and fortunately this time, Iowa's opponent didn't magically turn into the f***ing Golden State Warriors just throwing up 3s for no reason..........
Btw go watch that late 3 by Indiana against Northwestern. That shot is the kind of garbage Iowa deals with on a consistent basis throughout games.......games......not just towards the end of games.....but throughout the whole f***ing game...........

Actually I might bet the under on Iowa. I made $100 dollars on one of DraftKings promotional offers about 4 weeks ago and have been playing around with the proceeds ever since. They have easy money bets every week or two so I’m up about $130 right now. Betting the under on Iowa really does seem smart right now.
If you bet on Draftkings they have a free $25 bucks right now on the Valentine’s Day Lakers and nuggets game. If either team scores a point you double your $25.
It is a good point though that we are no where near the scoring threat we were earlier this season. Either the teams we are facing are better or teams know how to guard us now. Hopefully it’s the former.
