I think the team with Gannon, Hansen, Carfino, Payne, Stokes went 10-2 and lost their last 6 and earned name Chokeyes. 2014 was pretty brutal.

These guys overachieved early and and teams have figured out Iowa defense and how to stop Iowa offense. I think a lot of this is on fran.

The OP is whacked if he/she thinks we have overwhelming talent. We have 2 really good players that are wearing down and/or the focus of everyone's defensive game plan. Everyone else is a role player.

Truly great teams have a minimum of 3 goto guys.

Yup, it is an unfortunate case of a team that overachiever and then everybody caught up to them, and now does exactly what they need to do to beat Iowa each and every game. All the scoop off balance hooking layups go in, 3 pointers from everywhere are falling whether they're contested or not, and Iowa plays such soft defense that it allows for easy exploitation.

Unfortunate, but hey....at least we're going to the NCAA tournament. Add another year to that banner!!!

I agree. Fran needs to modify his game, and he hasn't figured out how to do that. And he won't. Unfortunately.

In the meantime, the team loses confidence and the spiral continues.
