This has to be the biggest and most talented offensive line in recent memory.. they are big across the line as I can remember at least. Now if we can get these giants to protect Stanley and open some gaping holes in the line for IKM and T Young we may have a part of the equation figured out next year.

LT Alaric Jackson, so., 6-7, 320
LG Ross Reynolds, sr., 6-4, 300
C Keegan Render, sr., 6-4, 310
RG Levi Paulsen, jr., 6-5, 305
RT Tristan Wirfs, so, 6-5 320

As it stands, if they played tomorrow Render would be at Center. Of course wd dont kbow if this will remain tge same for next season's opener. We need Kallenberger to add about 30 lbs.

If they could get Kallenberger up to weight could you imagine a side of jackson/wirfs? AJ,TW,R,R,MK(solid).....That would be a nasty Oline.

Biggest and slowest, likely less zone scheme with this lineup. Paulsen struggled getting outside leverage on zone in the bowl game from what I recall.

I think you can assume either Wirfs or Kallenberger will be at LG in 2019 if not this year. Basing that off their play the best 5 statements from the past. I think our 2019 O and D lines could be 2002 level good. Now if we can get A. Wagner to join the team this fall or in 2019 watch out. :)

Not sure I see most talented. Perhaps, but the 2002 group was special. Jackson and Wirfs have + athleticism, but to date haven't seen anything special out of the others. If that lineup starts next year, every single guy has started/played a lot previously. Potential to be a good line.

This is true. However, I'm not going to take much away from that game due to the field. Hard to pull outside to engage someone and get any leverage when you have no solid footing. If you watch that game, all line play on both sides was a complete mess because of the ridiculous idea to play a game outside in late December with an unheated field. Still pisses me off, and we won.

OP brings up a great point about the potential size of the Oline next year. Though I do think we'll get a name in the top 5 not already listed.
The BF/O'Keefe style seems to be more vertical routes that take longer time to develop when compared to GD. By having bigger Olinemen will help give Stanley more time so the plays can develop.
The other thing I think of is Wisconsin. They are undoubtedly the kings of the west, and maybe we are trying to replicate some of their success when it comes to Olinemen size. And then on top of it these last few years whenever the Hawks would get into an obvious passing down the 3-4 front of Wisconsin would pin their ears back and come at us. Maybe by having bigger taller linemen they will have a better ability to suck up multiple pass rushers on a given play.

If we're not going to be the fastest line, let's get the big boys to power block! Like the looks of those sizes on the line depth chart!

didn't 2003 have Gallery and Pete McMahon both starting? both over 320 as I remember. Not sure who filled the other 3 spots, though

Wirfs at 325 now per KF. Would not be surprised to A. Jackson at 325-330 by start of season.

You are correct, however; the reason is that he was playing OT instead of OG- which is his more natural position and would likely be plenty quick to get around a DT as opposed to a DE. There are some DT's with super quick 1st steps, however; DE's generally are much quicker for obvious reasons
