It will be interesting to how Maher pivots after this. Guest Josh Rogan states the obvious and Maher’s response was cringeworthy.
It’s just like every story you hear about people’s personal interactions with Trump. He is very funny, entertaining and great guy to hang out with.“There has to be a better way than just hurling insults so I’m taking this list of 60 terrible things he’s called me and get him to sign it.”
Question: Did that have ANY impact on Trump’s verbiage post visit? We all know the answer to that. What’s the alternative? Work to make him as f’n powerless as possible before he tears this country down.
Trump is plucking people who are in this country legally off the streets and shipping them to a prison in El Salvador on his own whim.
“But he can laugh! At himself!! Who knew??”
Be better, Bill.
So are strippers, it's their job. I definitely wouldn't trust them. FFS. I'm done watching Bill, he was already weak in many areas. It’s just like every story you hear about people’s personal interactions with Trump. He is very funny, entertaining and great guy to hang out with.
Nobody has ever denied Trump has charisma. So do people like Diddy and Jeffrey Epstein. It’s just like every story you hear about people’s personal interactions with Trump. He is very funny, entertaining and great guy to hang out with.

I don’t mind him sitting down with Trump at all, but I’m still left wondering…why? What was the purpose? The fact Bill Maher sitting down with Trump pisses off people shows how 7th grade girls, childish, the Democratic followers are.
Are Republicans upset if Trump sits down with well known liberals like Maher? No, because we're bigger, better, people.
The purpose is to increase his audience and following and to show all the liberal, whiny, weak, childish, people our there in the Democratic party that people who disagree on a lot of things, make fun of each other on the regular, can still sit down in person and have a conversation and dialogue, without name calling, about things they disagree on.I don’t mind him sitting down with Trump at all, but I’m still left wondering…why? What was the purpose?
Ok, but what did it accomplish? So those two don’t call each other names anymore. What more substantially could come out of it?The purpose is to increase his audience and following and to show all the liberal, whiny, weak, childish, people our there in the Democratic party that people who disagree on a lot of things, make fun of each other on the regular, can still sit down in person and have a conversation and dialogue, without name calling, about things they disagree on.
You just described both.Surprised he still draws an audience, John Oliver is the man. White, Wealthy, older and willing to doing anything anything to stay relevant.
Doesn’t really have to be a purpose. He was invited, he accepted.I don’t mind him sitting down with Trump at all, but I’m still left wondering…why? What was the purpose?
Then just say ‘I was invited and I went’. If there was no purpose, then don’t say anything.Doesn’t real have to be a purpose. He was invited, he accepted.
If I ever got invited by any president to the White House I’d go. Not exactly a common occurrence
I don’t like you, but I agree with you.The fact Bill Maher sitting down with Trump pisses off people shows how 7th grade girls, childish, the Democratic followers are.
Are Republicans upset if Trump sits down with well known liberals like Maher? No, because we're bigger, better, people.
🙄Maher loves to play both sides, and not just because he’s a self-proclaimed centrist. He loved the attention from Trump, he needed that affirmation.
I would accept an invite too, and break bread with Trump if given the opportunity. I would also be cordial and open-minded.Doesn’t really have to be a purpose. He was invited, he accepted.
If I ever got invited by any president to the White House I’d go. Not exactly a common occurrence
The fact he went is fine. I would be surprised if someone in his position turned down the opportunity.I don’t like you, but I agree with you.
This is childish.
I don’t know anything about the visit or what was discussed. The fact he went is fine. I would be surprised if someone in his position turned down the opportunity.
The fact he got played and didn’t realize it was embarrassing for Maher. I mean, come on.
Look up sanewashingI don’t know anything about the visit or what was discussed.
How did Maher get played? What did he set out to do?
Trump will call Maher whatever he wants the first time Maher criticizes him. It was totally without purpose other than for Trump to manipulate Maher into saying good things about him. Had Maher challenged Trump on anything while they were together it would have been gloves off. See Trump's reaction to a minister asking him, to his face, to demonstrate Christian compassion and empathy.Ok, but what did it accomplish? So those two don’t call each other names anymore. What more substantially could come out of it?
Come on, Bins. Of course there was a purpose from Trump's POV.Doesn’t really have to be a purpose. He was invited, he accepted.

Exactly. I actually had the chance to meet and talk with Dayana Mendoza—former Miss Universe and a contestant on Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. She genuinely liked him. At the time, she was hoping to make a documentary about the struggles so many people face with immigration, and—ironically—she thought Trump might help her bring it to life. It was kind of surreal. I’m sure Trump can be incredibly charming in person, and like you said, he probably comes off as a nice guy. But ultimately, his actions paint a very different picture.Nobody has ever denied Trump has charisma.
I thought he was referring to Maher.Come on, Bins. Of course there was a purpose from Trump's POV.
For the same reason I dislike Trump, actions speak louder than words. For Bill to talk all the smack and come running for dinner makes him a big hypocrite. The fact Bill Maher sitting down with Trump pisses off people shows how 7th grade girls, childish, the Democratic followers are.
Are Republicans upset if Trump sits down with well known liberals like Maher? No, because we're bigger, better, people.
Are you saying men are the problem? If so, for what?I’ll bet that no one on this thread sees the common theme and much bigger problem right now. Let me help everyone. It’s a 3 letter word that starts with “m” and ends with ‘n” and has an “e” in the middle.
I don't care if Maher sits down with him although I do think Maher is getting played a bit.
I wouldn't sit down with that man nor would I meet him if it could be avoided.
That would be great reporting, TV, podcast, or article. Then just say ‘I was invited and I went’. If there was no purpose, then don’t say anything.
Oh, so it wasn’t just for a casual conversation. So they were using each other. That would be great reporting, TV, podcast, or article.
Bill Maher really doesn't say anything earth shattering. He's rich old comedian that doesn't like woke, Muslims, and is a Zionist. Most of the bumping that we see about Maher is a maga being like "look he agrees with me on something else." The progressives didn't leave Maher, Maher left them when he went from endorsing Bernie Sanders to sanewashing Trump with the help of Kid Rock. His March has obviously been to the right. So let's dismiss the left abandoning him.
In a lot of ways Maher plays to the Rogan audience.
Are you saying that you're an asshole on this message board, but you're a nice, cordial guy should you actually meet anyone you insult? The purpose is to increase his audience and following and to show all the liberal, whiny, weak, childish, people our there in the Democratic party that people who disagree on a lot of things, make fun of each other on the regular, can still sit down in person and have a conversation and dialogue, without name calling, about things they disagree on.
I don’t like you, but I agree with you.
This is childish.
The part I find odd about this is that Maher is smart enough to know that Trump first and foremost is a performer and ALWAYS speaks to what his audience (in this case, Maher) wants to hear - this is why why he's contradicted himself so many times over the years...and Maher bought it hook line and sinker.I would accept an invite too, and break bread with Trump if given the opportunity. I would also be cordial and open-minded.
It’s quite possible the private Trump is more likable than the public Trump.
