Birds Say Spring Is Here - Thousands of Snow Geese, and Red Winged Blackbirds Are Back

We saw them out near Badger Creek southeast of Des Moines. Also many more regular geese than normal so they are going back north as well.
Someone else said they have seen a Turkey Vulture as well which is another bird that returns in March.
I’ve been seeing a lot of Robins lately up here in NE Iowa. Glad you mentioned Turkey Vulture, I’ve heard they are the best bird to indicate spring has sprung. I haven’t seen any of those up here yet.

On a work trip to Paducah, KY this week, we saw many, many Turkey Vultures riding thermals in groups.
Robins and Blue Birds by the dozens are coming thru our yard today with many working wifey’s feeders in competition with Sammy the squirrels.
Light snow fall overnight, lows in the upper teens and highs in the low fifties.
Yay for Spring, although Winter we hardly knew yah.

Red wing blackbirds are dickheads.
Maybe @lucas80 could eat Red Wing Blackbirds instead of crow over the Winter's Over thread...
