Black holes in the line up next year

I am not a troll. I was simply asking. Lundington may be good to very good but it will be difficult as a true freshman. As far as transfers I just hope our guys will out perform last years transfers (except for Stephen B. of course). Black hole meaning no points or few points at Big Ten's and Nationals.
If that's the criteria (points at Bigs and NCAA) then it's a moot question without a crystal ball. Accordingly, the black holes last year were 125, 141, 149, 157, and 184, and at 2 of those weights we had a 3x and 4x AA. The fact that Iowa took 4th with basically 6 weights is pretty impressive actually.

Elam has a long history of injury and from what I hear team missouri is not totally upset to see him go. I'm not sure he should be the play for 197.
Rocky has an injury history, but it has never kept him from being an AA, minus this med RS year. MU is really high on Aedon Sinclair. Sinclair is an absolute stud. From what I hear around the MU room, Sinclair might be better than Elam. FWIW, I was hearing that in October 2024.

I feel like I do need to say Rocky has been nothing but a great leader and teammate in the MU room. I have spoken with him several times. He, by all accounts, is your typical "All-American kid".

He definitely as an equal or better ceiling but Sinclair is at 84 and only filled in at 97 because Elam was out. McEnelly and Sinclair will have some great battles with Angelo the next few years.

Sinclair is going 86kg U20 but then 92kg SR which is odd if he's a 184

Smith had the balls to throw an ncaa finalist off his team before. Culture is important at mizzou, and it's not based solely on winning.
If you had ever met or even spoken to that NCAA finalist, you would understand. He was an absolute team cancer from the time we wrestled together on Southern Plains teams through his time at MU. Dude was toxic and weird AF.

So, how many black wholes will be in the line up next season? If we don't get Rocky Elam from Missouri I think 97 is a black hole in the line up. 25 probably a black hole as far as scoring points at nationals. What other weights will we potentially struggle with?

It’s weird that in your weird post you mention 125 but not 157.

Also was hoping to see Melvin Miller vs Jayden James at the US open but Melvin’s wrestling u20s and James is wrestling u17s.
Is Melvin older despite being a grade behind or is this just to get more competition or something since he’s already won a u17 world title (I think right?).
U20 57kg, 61kg and 65kg are stacked.
Melvin took 5th at u17 worlds last year . I am assuming he is out of U17 eligibility because he competed at Fargo's Junior last year

Sinclair is going 197.
Feels like it was mutual between Mizzou and Rocky. Time for Mizzou to see what Sinclair can do at 197, and an opportunity for Rocky to finish out his career somewhere else. Going to be interesting to see how the Rocky/Sinclair match(es) go next year!

I haven't talked to anyone, but I would say this is accurate. Sinclair is more than ready.

I think that's more certain now with Elam out
Sinclair is going 197.
Maybe now with Elam gone but he certainly was going 84 before Elam's injury and had plans to go back down next year. But it would make sense because they can use Hawks at 84 and Sinclair at 97, and they have no legit backups or incoming recruits at either weight.
