-The death threats were not death threats. Instead it was Iowa fans knowing they would win the game. This is seen as a death threat to Huskers, as losing to Iowa is worse than death. Poor Huskers....

-The Huskers are now in their 15th year of no taste of conference championships and no BCS bowl. They just finished with a 5-7 record with their only claim to fame being that they are now a team that has a bowl game, and most in the nation are disgusted by that. Hence the press against teams like them that are receiving a bowl game for being losers.

-This year they celebrated a rapist, and I kid you not, allowed Christian Peter to storm the field in celebration of their 95 team, which was full of future rapist, felons, murderers, thieves, etc.

Other than that, they seem okay.

No nostalgia is necessary. You realize Nebraska has won three out of the past five games, right? You won this year. Congratulations! Next year is a different story. That fact is that both programs are closer to each other than you would like to admit. No reasonable Nebraska fan believes it is an elite program now or has been for nearly 20 years.

If I had made any of those points that you are contesting, I could understand your response. However, I simply stated the fact I couldn't care less what Nebraska fans think and don't understand why this board is consistently inundated with mindless drivel about what some band of insanely idiotic blowhard Nebraska fans say about Iowa. In short, you are laying siege of a vacant castle.

I noticed they didn't have any commercial breaks.

I would recommend these guys seek out Kleenex as a sponsor. That would cover the Nebraska fans crying tears of sorrow.....and the tears of laughter from the Iowa listeners.

I guess it depends on your definition of a "Top College Football Program". If you restrict the criteria to say for example "Top Ten Finishes in the Past Ten Years", then no, of course not. If you consider the history of all time wins, national and conference championships, All Americans, budget, facilities, attendance, traveling fans, etc, then Nebraska has to be on the list. Naturally, a snapshot of a 5-7 season isn't going to get anyone excited. So Nebraska fans are not going to totally forget the last 50 years, while most of the country apparently has.
