If bold facing signifies this then, Ally's really impressive, as she's one of only 7 athletes, men and women, and in all sports, from all B1G schools, on this page that has these credentials. She won't have to go to the WNBA to succeed in life, though she looks like she could have the opportunity there too.

Is this some kind of record? Half the team Academic All Big Ten? Amazing. Congrats to Lisa Bluder for recruiting these kids, and to the Hawkeyes for doing such a great job representing. I'm going to be even more interested in following them Friday night against Baylor and beyond. And speaking of Baylor, I wonder how its roster stacks up academically?

Ally's dad is the president of the University of Iowa Community Credit Union, isn't he? She obviously has very good influence from her parents.

Looking at the list, four schools has 7 women's basketball players on the All-Big Ten list (Illinois, Iowa, Penn State, Wisconsin), and one has 8 (Northwestern), so Iowa is not exactly way ahead in the league. It does look like the Penn State players studied too hard since their team was last place in this season's standings
