Great coach. Probably the best ever in terms of getting the most out of his players

he was also a good man who was wrongly maligned by the media

He was wrongly maligned by himself, Roy. I guess the media made the mistake of reporting his abuses towards players, fans and critics. Knight is his own creation...tremendously successful as a coach and leader and an abysmal failure as a coach and leader. He suffers from the human condition. The media made Bob Knight and at times, unduly protected him from legitimate criticism and yes, they did report on his abuses.
