A body of work in which Petras is the lowest-rated QB in the country. A body of work that has led Iowa to the very bottom of the nation in total "offense," and it ain't even close. A body of work in which Petras has thrown ONE touchdown pass and 9 INTs in the last, what is it, 8 games or so. And I'm not bothering to look up the fumbles he's lost, the wide open receivers he's missed, or any of the rest of his failures. But that body of work is what KF is using to explain his decision to keep starting Spencer Petras.
Once again KF shows his brilliant football mind and his objectivity. How many players in any sport at any level can you imagine continuing to hold a starting position if their body of work was equal to that of Spencer Petras?
Nevada is a horrible football program that gave up over 600 yards and 55 points last week in its loss to that national powerhouse Incarnate Word. Yes, you read that right. INCARNATE WORD.
There are no terms to describe the utter frustration any Iowa fan who knows anything about football must feel upon hearing the Captain make such a declaration again today about the Hawkeyes' starting QB position.
Hey, but KF is smarter than everyone else in the country. After all, he sees all the practices (but apparently not much of the games). He's the man with the millions. And so the rest of us should just be honored to stand in his shadow.
