It's not just liberals. A lot of Republicans in the House and Senate love the MIC. Some folks will say, "it's only $xxx ". It's pervasive, and likely happening nearly across the board. But wait!!! We're also paying interest on it. We have a physical military presence in over 100 countries, not counting embassies. How about we cut that down to a dozen or so. Maybe we should secure our own borders before we pretend we can protect the world.
This kind of shit has been happening for many decades. You're incredibly naive if you think it's perpetrated by one side. Elon is upset that somebody else beat him to the grift - he'd love one of his companies to replace Boeing's scheme.
Let me know when it actually gets fixed (it won't) - they'll simply replace one grifter with another.
