First of all I wish the young man 100% health. two hip surgeries at his young age. Wow. He thanked the fans for the support and stated he would help this team from the bench however he could. The only thing he did not say was how he would be back with the Hawkeyes NEXT season ready to go for his Senior year.

Wish he would have included the next year part with the Hawkeyes.

Legend was suggesting that, as an alternative to fanning the JBo transfer rumor, the OP could try being less of a bitch.

Then BB changed it to "couldn't be less of a bitch" which would mean the OP was not at all a bitch.

So BB's correction was incorrect (unless, I guess, BB really means that the OP is entirely bitch-less, which I doubt).

Potentially the correction meant that he is incapable of being less of a bitch?

Two hip surgeries. The hip is the largest joint in the body (cool story). Pretty hard to come back from (yes the doucher from ronaldville did it I know). Not saying he is coming back, not saying he isn’t. Saying, I would t be surprised at all if he doesnt.

I have it on good authority that they are going to go in and stretch the ligaments out so far that he'll add about 30" to his vertical.

Like that kid who pitched for the Cubs in "Rookie of The Year" except in the hip.

I'm glad you brought this up. It caused me to realize that neither Luka G. nor Joe W. have announced they are returning next year.

Fvck, the more I think about it, they all must be transferring!

He is going to Duke, Krysweski will start him at point and then he will become a coach on his staff and become head coach at some hip and upcoming basketball hotbed and then take over for Fran.

I gave the transfer rumors 0 credibility at first. Since then I have talked to two friends who have some first or second degree connections closer to the situation who have said if some next tier schools express interest, transferring will be given strong consideration.

I struggle to understand why he would transfer, but Jbo is Jbo. He is an elite shooter, has hit clutch shots on a big stage for 3+ years and is not afraid of the spotlight. There would likely be a number of teams interested in him for a specialist role. It would not surprise me to see teams like Virginia, Gonzaga, Butler and others reach out. If he could go to a team positioned to make a Sweet 16 + run who knows?

If Fran's incoming recruits are more players than projects, I think next year's team could be very capable of this type of run, so hopefully he stays.

If Garza stays this team will have a ton of potential coming back. I would think it would be incredibly attractive to stay, just as much as going to another team.

I'm really not pooh poohing you on this, but that rumor is 100% crap. He isn't going anywhere.

I highly doubt JBO looks to grad transfer, but no one has given the thought that Jordan's taking his shoes off symbolizes the end of his playing days, period. I guess we won't know for sure until the beginning of October when practice begins.
I hope he does return, but if the Iowa State game was his last hurrah, it's been a fantastic journey!

Unless Jordan enters the transfer portal that would technically be tampering.

Lol. My Cyclone fan neighbor wants him to transfer to Iowa St. He thinks JoBo really liked playing at Hilton and probably wants to be there more.

Fyi - I think my neighbor was sipping on grandpa's old cough medicine a little too much that night.

JoBo knows he will be legendary status when he finishes out at Iowa. No need to respond to anything because playing elsewhere isnt something he is even considering.

All pieces are returning next season and the team should by all accounts be a Sweet 16 contender. Any minutes Kriener is providing will he replaced by Nunge. Should be an exciting year next season!!

How do you know this?

It's just Speculation....no one has mentioned this possibility that I know of and it's just as plausible as any other rumor that might be floating out there is internet space, until Jordan officially decides what to do after his rehabilitation is done, no one outside of him, his family, or members of Iowa basketball family really has a clue what the final outcome will be.
As Iowa basketball fans, we're all hoping he returns to complete his senior season fully healthy but if not he's been a great Hawkeye no matter how this all turns out!

Why would anyone give that any thought? Jordan himself stated the reason he did it was because Monte' Morris stated he was going to do it in Iowa City but they lost in CHA so he didn't. Over the last few years there has been some good banter between the players for both schools. This was Jordan's just returning the favor, and backing it up on the court.

His health is more important than basketball. Major college basketball may not be in his future.
