Has anyone ever tried one? I just got my second one and think I'm ready for wiring.
First one is a Hawaiian Umbrella Tree. Have had it for 4 years and is currently an eight year old tree. The one I just got is a Green Mound Juniper and is 4-6 years old.

Seems like an awesome hobby in the age of the coronavirus.

I had a strangler fig that I attempted to do that with. It worked out great for a couple of years and then it kinda got out of control.

Have to keep a close eye on them and only prune them at the right times each year. Depending on species of plant of course.

As a teenager I moved to a new area and was bullied. After one incident where they roughed me up pretty good, a neighborhood man stopped it and took me under his wing. He started teaching me self defense, karate to be specific to help avoid this. It became an obsession and I did very well at some tournaments. He always had many bonsai trees and I helped take care of them. This led me to eventually open my own bonsai tree shop.

I will never forget one thing he told me, “Just like bonsai choose own way grow because root strong you choose own way do karate same reason.”

Hey! Bonsai trees are awesome! I've been into them for a while now. Your Hawaiian Umbrella Tree sounds amazing! Wiring can be tricky, but it's so rewarding once you get the hang of it. Your new Green Mound Juniper sounds like a great addition, too. Good luck with the wiring! If you ever need tips, you can check out https://bonsaiforbeginners.com/. They've got some great resources!

I appreciate how the bots mix it up now and don’t always post links, just general encouragement.
It’s like if Stuart Smalley was a bot.
