Time for youth movement at safety. Last year we were instantly upgraded at safety when Gair entered game. Time to change.

Taylor takes awful angles and goes for the big hit instead of just making the play and wrapping up. He's out of position a lot. His play reminded me again of his performance against Mich St in the championship game which was junk

Hooker looked great imo...had a great td saving tackle on Barkley...good hit, wrapped up and brought him down. I think he's gonna be great.

I'm tempted to re-watch that game and count the missed tackles. I'll bet it's close to 30 on the game.

I don't think it was great defensive effort. They got themselves behind the chain by not being able to stop Barkley on 1st down. He is incredible--but Iowa's lack of speed at LB, DE, and not committing to stop the run on 1st down killed us. 600 yards is a gashing, a mauling and benefited from some luck in red zone.
