this based on the number of fingers in attendance?Of note, attendance was 10,798.
Being there in person, I can attest that maybe there was half that amount inside Carver and that included maybe 150 students that attend Iowa.Of note, attendance was 10,798.
That’s not exactly true. Yes, Keegan and Pat were far and away our best players, and yes, the second team was disjointed in the first half. However, they definitely settled in during the second. Toussaint looked really good facilitating and defensively, Sandfort looked really good all around after he settled it. Perkins and Ulis struggled to get shots to drop, but both did well getting into the lane and to the rim + defensively. Ash looked good shooting. Connor did his thing well and his shot looked a bit better. Rebraca looked like a contributor offensively, and we know that Jordan can shoot itFrom what I heard they did not look good. Only Keagan and PMac played like they were ready for the season to start. Very disjointed for much of the game and relied on Keagan and PMac to single handedly take over. Against good competition both those guys won't get the freedom to move like they did last night.
It wasn’t the only reason but a Friday night game start when HS football playoffs are at the same time certainly didn’t help. A lot of locals had to choose one over the other. City High, Prairie, Solon, Williamsburg and Xavier all were in playoff games that night.Being there in person, I can attest that maybe there was half that amount inside Carver and that included maybe 150 students that attend Iowa.
I know, I know it was an exhibition game against a nobody, but other Big Ten teams played exhibition games against patties and had better attendance.
It will be interesting come Tuesday what the attendance will be for a 9pm game that will get over 2 hours later, when people have to go to work the next morning? It might be ugly. This team is not as bad as the pundits have predicted and deserve better....
How many of those teams were picked to finish in the bottom half of the league? A few examples would be great. And on a Friday night?Being there in person, I can attest that maybe there was half that amount inside Carver and that included maybe 150 students that attend Iowa.
