Their official twitter account tweeted 5 hours ago and said "We're only hours away from Midlands, beginning tomorrow at 9am! Watch the #Illini all day long on BTN Plus". I'm curious what changed between then and now.

Initially, I was very excited for the Midlands. Thought we'd see McKenna, Brewer vs Clark, Brunson vs Meyer, Grothus. The brackets are a shadow of what was thought to be in the Tourney. What a let down. Why do good wrestling schools avoid putting in their guys at these big time Tourneys? It's bad for us fans and wrestling.

Yeah, very disappointing with all the no-shows. The level of competition took a huge hit. I wonder if fewer matches will impact some wrestlers getting enough matches to qualify spots for their conference?

AFHawk, most of the teams that were no-shows (Brown, Harvard, Pitt, for example) are all heading to other events closer to home instead (Brown and Harvard to the F&M Open, Pitt to the Lock Haven Classic). As far as Illinois, their guys should all be fine in terms of having enough matches for an RPI, provided they don't skip too much (or anything, in some cases) the rest of the way.
