I sure hope he isn't like the small white guard that MSU had a few years ago. He was a great Hs Player but had no business in the BIG.

So, you have inside knowledge that his height is being lied about, please divulge your source....or are you just pissed that Fran gave a scholarship to a high school player instead of getting a disgruntled mid major from the portal....Congratulations! You keep thinking he is too small, but when you watch his court vision, ability to change directions, and lightning quick shot from all over the court, you see what he can bring. I haven't seen much of Harding on the defense. He seems to have the quickness to provide good on-ball defense, but 5-10 is a big disadvantage against bigger top level guards.
It's a legitimate concern. So, you have inside knowledge that his height is being lied about, please divulge your source....or are you just pissed that Fran gave a scholarship to a high school player instead of getting a disgruntled mid major from the portal....
My eyes tell me he isn't 6 ft, and I thought I had seen him listed as 5-10, maybe in the announcement for POY in Illannoy? I am very happy that Fran got Harding, who I think is a great PG. What about my post made you think I don't like him? How tall you think he is?So, you have inside knowledge that his height is being lied about, please divulge your source....or are you just pissed that Fran gave a scholarship to a high school player instead of getting a disgruntled mid major from the portal....
Because people lie about how tall they are. Especially high school basketball players247 and ESPN have 6' and Rivals has 6'1". Why would anyone think he's only 5'10".
Or, I hope he’s like the Purdue freshman guard this past season (can’t recall his name) similar in stature to Harding who proved himself as Big 10 worthy.I sure hope he isn't like the small white guard that MSU had a few years ago. He was a great Hs Player but had no business in the BIG.
My guess because he still needs to get stronger his body suggests he isn’t 6’ but I’ve seen him dunk it so I think he’s at least 6’ in height but he knows it too, that he needs to fill out and get stronger. He won’t start this season as the point guard but I’d bet next year he’s getting the most minutes at pg unless Dasonte Bowen explodes this seasonMy eyes tell me he isn't 6 ft, and I thought I had seen him listed as 5-10, maybe in the announcement for POY in Illannoy? Let's go with the measurements until we have some actual reason to believe Brock a liar. Not every kid is a CJF or Charlie Jones.Because people lie about how tall they are. Especially high school basketball players
The only thing worse than a buzz kill is a buzz kill who calls out ''white'' players . Who does that and why? Do people call out black players for being black?I sure hope he isn't like the small white guard that MSU had a few years ago. He was a great Hs Player but had no business in the BIG.
Whether Brock is 6-1 or 6 foot or 5-11, I do know this, Dasonte Bowen or any other potential point guard on Iowa's roster better work extremely hard in improving all aspects of their game if they want to keep Brock on the bench this coming season. From what I've seen of the returning point guards that Iowa has returning Brock has them all beat in ball handling, passing, dribbling, speed, quickness and best of all court awareness.
Now Tony Perkins as a senior veteran by size alone and scoring ability may get a majority of minutes as the acting point guard but Brock is a natural point guard and Tony can't come close to emulating the moves and passing ability that Brock instinctively has by any stretch of the imagination.
But, if Desonte Bowen beats out Brock, this I know, Iowa will have one heck of a point guard running the offense because it won't be easy to keep Harding off the floor.
And to the mix, add Amarion Nimmers and just maybe Iowa might have enough talented players to hang with the top echelon of the Big Ten and if not, this coming years team could be quite entertaining.Brock will be a rockstar and it will happen quick. I think he will fit right into the speed of the game. I like Dasonte as a sixth man playing the 1 and 2. Dix starting at the 3. We cant have lumbering pmac or sandfort at the 3. Gotta have 3 guards starting or an nba guy who is 6'7" - 6'8" which we dont have. @RocknRollface has been beating this drum and he's right per usual.
Pete Jok was the perfect college 3. Dix has good size and good lateral ability. Sandfort is a step slow and pmac is pmac. Point being Brock will kinda force this to happen. Otherwise, we see more perkins/dix, perkins/sandfort at the 1 and 2.
We have to run, thats all we got might as well maximize the one thing we do.

Ellingson and Hall were in different classes. Fran took Andrew Fleming over Tyler Hall. Huge blunder.Fran is playing close to the vest with Nimmers. I dont think he wants to lose him. Look at Tyler Hall, hes top 10 in ncaa cbb three pointers made? Fran took brady ellingson over him. He was there for the taking. Big blunder. But i think he wants to also play out the portal.
Gotta think nimmers could get a better offer than EIU right now.
To think what might have been if Pete hadn't had the knee injury... Of course then again, if that were the case he probably wasn't coming to Iowa.Brock will be a rockstar and it will happen quick.
