Burger Prices

I'm there a couple times a month in the summer. It's about a 50 mile bike ride from IC and some great gravel roads. Plus, these views and a burger and fries under $10? Sign me up.

50 MILES?
 
I do a bunch of gravel and back roads through Cedar Bluff through Sutliff and over to Solon - did it Saturday and it was 53 miles. Probably my favorite route going North when I’m not going down to @jamesvanderwulf ’s territory. Earning the Baxa Burger and that bucket of beers over a few miles makes it all the sweeter!
Give me a heads up when you're down in god's country and I'll throw some Bud's burgers on the grill, won't cost you a dime... :)

I am a Buds fan so I may just take you up on that. Got a quarter from Ruzicka’s I’m working through right now, first time I used them and they did a nice job. Damn nice to have two quality processors so close.

First off, I'm a typical HROTerian so price means nothing to me - but by god I still notice. Hopped on the bike this weekend and rode through a few counties. Some places were gouging for a burger - more specifically I saw that Solon Big Grove wanted $14 for a single burger and this place Downtown IC (Burger Haul) was $16. In contrast, Baxas out in Sutliff wanted $5.25 for a single (or $8 for a Baxa 2/3rd lb burger). Rode to Gussy's in Lone Tree and their burger was $8 as well. If food prices are so inflated, how do these small towns keep their prices so low?

im assuming at the IC restaurant you’re paying for the privilege of sitting next to other frat boy privlleged upper middle class idiots who also are paying ridiculous prices for a burger

Bud’s is a butcher shop on highway 22 near the 218 exit to the Casino. He also sells some frozen fish, chicken, shrimp, cheeses, rubs, buns and the biggest eggs you’ll see. “ You can’t beat Bud’s meat “.
Thank you! I have been to Ruzickas. That's where my lab used to get animal tissue, hearts and lungs mainly. I was next to a pig when it met its maker. Good times and loud as hell :)

Has Kaeding basically pulled out from his restaurant investments?
I'm not certain but I know he's in a couple of other non food service investments the last couple of years. I can also confirm that he is a gigantic douche that is 100 percent into himself.
