Does it matter how many times you see him? You know he's hitting a blast double. He's fast, like a marsupial.
I've seen them all. I think it was about 5 am the time he lost. I watched it live but I suppose I could google the results. I also saw the first one when JB came out of no where to win his first world championship. I also saw the second one where he almost beat JB. He made huge adjustments and two on oned the sh** out of him and almost won. I guess some times guys make adjustments at that level.
Also, as far as watching JB he has a hell of a lot more than a free shot blast double. The majority of his doubles are from a re shot now. He also has a sick single off a re shot as well. He's also Developed quite the lace.
Not really. Burroughs was a shell when he lost to Tsargush. Not close to healthy. Had nothing to do with Denis' experience against Jordan.
How could you you possibly prove that or know that for a fact?
Did he not make major improvements and changes between match 1-2?
This is all speculation. My point is wrestle JB first time zero chance-scout him and have a stratagey-very very very small chance.
This. Tsargush is a great wrestler but a healthy Burroughs beats him. I'm sure JB wouldn't allow for excuses...injuries are part of the game. Still, the first time that Burroughs beat Tsargush, the odds were stacked in TSargush's favor with the best 2 of 3 format which denigrated Burroughs superior conditioning.
Burroughs is far better than what he used to be even when he won gold in 2012 if that is possible. His leglace is $$$$ and he is just not a blast double any more. He is way more cerebral in his approach and is very good in his ties and is able to hold center more so than just shooting from the outside. The World has tried everything against him to no avail. Not saying he's unbeatable but he is close. One of our greatest.

I have to agree. He is definitely one of our greatest. There may have been others that were as good, but when you can prove it over and over again, I think that puts you in another league. Baumgartner, Smith, and Burroughs have to be in the discussion for the most consistent and probably the best.
It is kind of like Michael Jordan in basketball. There may have been others that could play like him, but not for years and years in a row. His consistent ability to perform at an incredible level, puts him in another league.
Wouldn't it be great to see Dennis go on a 4 year run of Olympic and world titles?
Prove JB was injured? Ok, watch the 2014 world championships. Watch his match where he injures his MCL against GBS. Then watch him struggle with guys he's previously dominated. Talk to the coaches, etc.
It appears to me you aren't aware they've wrestled 3 times. Jordan winning the first two matches narrowly, then getting blown out in match 3. Was this some revelation in scouting from Denis or was Jordan injured? Anyone with eyes knows what happened.
Plus, this was a guy who could wrestle through pain...he did it on a broken ankle the year before. But yea, he had a sprained MCL. I remember that match. That was JB at 50%.

If you read my posts above I'm fully aware that they have wrestled three times. The first time he had no idea who JB was. JB won. The second time was a terrifying match where's DS won a period and JB won in the closest of matches. How can you say someone would have won if not that injured? We're not doctors nor that smart. Would Cade O beat everyone at 120 this year? If imiller didn't get hurt vs imar does he win? We're not doctors bud and were on the same team. I'm just saying wrestling JB for the first time is train wreck 2.0
That's not really what you said, but I could be wrong. I think it read more like he figured him out and if that were the case he should never lose a again to him.
I understand the bad knee, I even brought it up. What I don't understand the entire match he wrestled. He limped in for a single and let himself get wizzered like he had given up...no fight. He must have been in serious pain or didn't want to make anything worse than it was.

The same reason he wrestled on a broken ankle the year before...cause he's damn tough and its the only tourney of the year that counts in his world. He still won bronze.
If Mickey Mantle, Bobby Orr and Gayle Sayer only broke they're ankle the could have been the GOATs of their sports. They had knee injuries, you get bad scar tissue in there and it's over. Granted our orthopedic surgeons are top notch today, but not worth the risk on that joint.
And back to his blast double that everyone says he's moved on from. Your talking about the leg laces, I hope by now he has a decent leg lace. The Europeans and Asians can hit these in their sleep, but they can't stop getting blasted and even set up by the blast and getting hit with a low/outside single instead. It's a huge part of his offense. It is who he is and he needs his knees.

He hasn't moved on from his blast doubles, he has just become less one dimensional. He has been hitting laces for the last few years...one of the best in the World

He's the real deal and very young. He beat Pico in the junior world finals two years ago. I still think JB beats him but the Iranian is going to be tough to beat. I think he makes a medal unless JB, him and the Russian all end up on the same side.
How about his sommersault roll in entry onto the mat? It's cocky, but I kinda liked it.
