Any Confederate monument or statue was erected decades after the war by KKK or Daughters of the Confederacy to keep the Blacks down, racist tactics and hate. Which went against Confederate General Robert E. Lee's own wishes.

It's an improvement but the statue isn't a historical artifact. It has no historical value. It's just a statue. We're putting it in museums so neo confederates can make a shrine out of it and go talk about the glory days when whites where in charge of everything and blacks knew their place.

There is a growing chorus of health professionals, religious leaders and others calling for an investigation into her firing. Unfortunately, our governor doubled down on the DOH's decision yesterday. He has been such a disappointment. I look forward to granting him early retirement in the next election cycle.
He is tied to one of the worst atrocities of the Civil War, the Fort Pillow Massacre. Probably should have been hung after the war.
