I know it is the toughest position on the field and not every one is a winner or can make winning plays at the end but I am thinking of who are the QB's in Iowa history who can win a game for you and you actually trust to do so..I go back to the mid 50's of Iowa FB and here is my list:
Kenny Ploen.. from Clinton who was All State in FB & BB
Randy Duncan who was 2nd in the Heisman I believe
Wilburn Hollis and Matt Szykowny(the later played BB and FB at Iowa)
Ed Podolak his Soph year was a winner and would have beaten Oh St if the TE would not have dropped the ball
Black out period of Iowa FB
possibly Gordy Bohanan
