Butler re-signs with Raiders practice squad.

Free-agent RB James Butler (Raiders) was re-signed to the Oakland Raiders' practice squad Tuesday, Oct. 23.

why would you have a kicker on a practice squad? I am surprised that Akrum hasn't been signed to a practice squad yet. His pre-season tape wasn't great but his college tape is legit.

NY Giants signed Koehn to their practice squad on October 9th, as their starting kicker was questionable with a quad injury. Their starter was indeed able to go, and Koehn was released on October 12th.

Hope Butler can stick on the practice squad and then move up eventually. Hes a durable sized back and can give some quality reps.

Just rewatched the Ohio State beat down from last year. Wadley... WOW. There aren't many around like Akrum, and that includes the NFL. Somebody's missing out on a real game-breaker.

I hope James sticks with the Raiders too. I felt bad for him when got hurt and missed some games at Iowa. That is a tough thing to happen to a grad transfer who has just that one year to get the attention of the NFL. I believe, given the opportunity, James can help the Raiders win more games.

Lynch is hurt and may miss the rest of the season, so there could be an opportunity for Butler on a rebuilding team.

Still shocked Wadley isn't on a team. When the Titans cut him, I thought for sure he'd get picked up within the week.
