I usually pay all cash money, like this.

I tried, but they were actually able to make the total price less by using a Ford Credit finance incentive, so I paid for it in 3 months and still came out on top. They told me to take 3 months to pay for it so Ford Credit wouldn't pull the financing. Apparently this goes on regularly.

We've replaced two cars in the last year and wrote checks both times. I would have financed if there was a deal that made it worth my while, but that wasn't the case on either car.

They will gladly accept a check if there is money in the account. A dealer took a check from me yesterday.

If you're unknown to the dealership they can always call your bank to check your account. The dealership will take your check.

The last car I purchased, I was offered a 0.0% loan over 5 years with nothing down. So instead of paying cash up front I took the loan. No hassle as it is all automated and electronic.
