Had we played we likely would be 4-7 right now. With the postponement we remain 4-6 w/ 4 winnable games in front of us. Minnesota, @ MD, Nebraska and Michigan. Find a way to win these games (and we can) that will put us at 8-6. Get on a roll Hawks!!!!

Like the optimism. No other way to look at the situation as can't change the postponement. Given the amount of games OSU has to make up, I wonder if it will be played at all.

Leistekow said on KXNO last night that the guys seemed pretty wiped after the PSU game. Late night followed by a day of class and turn around and have a long trip again.

Maybe a few more days to reset and refocus for a must win home game will be a good thing.

But it is unfortunate that they may lose a chance for a resume building win.

Yeah, OSU has the Nebraska game to make up as well.

I wonder if things get rearranged so that OSU can get 11 games in 30 days in?

Here are the current schedules:

IOWA's Schedule.............OSU's Schedule............Nebraska's Schedule
Feb 6 vs Minnesota...........Feb 6 vs Maryland.........Feb 5 vs N'western
Feb 10 at Maryland...........Feb 9 at Rutgers.............Feb 9 vs Minnesota
Feb 13 vs Nebraska...........Feb 12 at Michigan..........Feb 13 at IOWA
Feb 17 vs Michigan............Feb 15 vs Minnesota.......Feb 18 vs Maryland
Feb 22 vs Mich State.........Feb 19 vs Indiana............Feb 22 at N'western
Feb 25 at Nebraska...........Feb 24 at Illinois..............Feb 25 vs IOWA
Feb 28 vs N'western..........Feb 27 at Maryland........Feb 28 at Penn State
March 3 at Michigan.........March 3 vs Mich State...March 6 at Wisconsin
March 6 at Illinois..............March 6 vs Michigan......PPD at Ohio State
PPD: at Ohio State
..........PPD: vs. Nebraska
..............................................PPD: vs IOWA

If we cannot get this game in and finish at 10-9 in the league we might be ok for tourney bid?

We live in a cabcel culture. So I agree with this. This time.

Actually was a good thing. There was virtually no chance they were winning that game.

This let them reset and hopefully be more ready for games they can actually win, like the next 4. If the tosu game gets played next month then they still won't have much chance but may actually be in a slightly better position and frame of mind.

OSU has only played 9 games where most of the B1G has played 11-12. Unless they make those up, how will that affect the BTT seeding?

Fewer losses is never a bad thing.

Especially with a weak bubble and the fact that we're supposedly in now anyway if the season ended.........

Yes. Even going in, the Big Ten did a piss poor job of throwing this overall schedule together.

I really do think juggling 14 teams is a struggle for them.
Between quick turn around road games, more weekday games/lack of solid Saturday games, and some teams getting too long of breaks, it seems they really screwed it up this year.

Cabcellation aside, if we’re just assuming a loss at tOSU (not unreasonable), we’re just shifting that loss to later in the season. This was already going to be a rough week with 3 games in 8 days, IMHO, it would have been better to just get it over with…but it’s not like there was a choice, so they’ll have to deal with whatever It will be.

Does it seem the B1G schedule, as a whole, is pretty goofy this year?

And very unfair.

Purdue leads the B1G with 8 of their 10 B1G home games falling on the weekend.

8 of 10: Purdue has 2 Friday night home B1G games, 2 Saturday home B1G games and 4 Sunday home B1G games. And the Sunday times are very convenient.

7 of 10: OSU has 3 Saturday home B1G games and 4 Sunday home B1G games. And the Sunday times are very convenient.

7 of 10: MSU has 6 Saturday home B1G games and 1 Sunday home B1G game. And the Sunday time is very convenient (4:30 pm CT).

***NOTE: MSU has a weekend home B1G game the last 4 weeks of the regular season.

6 of 10: Wisconsin has 1 Friday night home B1G game, 2 Saturday home B1G games and 3 Sunday home B1G games. And the Sunday times are very convenient.

5 of 10: Nebraska has 2 Friday night home B1G games, 2 Saturday home B1G games and 1 Sunday home B1G game.

3 of 10: IOWA has 1 Saturday home B1G game vs PSU and 2 Sunday home B1G games (Feb 6 vs MN and Feb 13 vs Nebby, where the game will end around 4:00 pm CT).

****Feb 13, of course, is Super Bowl Sunday, with kickoff shortly after the Iowa game ends.****
