Caitlin Clark 2nd Team All American

Too lazy to look up, but last year, Bueckers was the #1 HS player in the country and Clark was 4th, I believe. Who were #'s 2 and 3? Wonder how they did in comparison to Paige and Caitlin. Doyle was a second teamer her senior year. Wonder if Iowa previously has ever had an A-A as a Frosh or Soph on any A-A team?

#2 was Angel Reese from Maryland. She's averaging 10.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. She also has 15 blocks in 10 games. She had higher averages at the beginning of the year, then got hurt and was out most of the year. She's back playing now, but I think they're easing her back, which is why her numbers dropped. If she played the whole season Big Ten Freshman awards would've been at least marginally harder for Clark.

#3 was Cameron Brink from Stanford. She's averages 10.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and around 2.5 blocks per game. A very good player, but not on Clark's level this year.

In a rerate of the class, I think Clark and Bueckers are 1a and 1b and everyone else comes after. They're the two best freshman women's college basketball has seen in a decade or more.

And UConn plays in a weak conference. The BIG is much more competitive top to bottom. The bias is no longer deserved IMHO since the old Big East disolved

This is absolutelyy true. To their credit they try to schedule tough games against top non- conference teams. Still, nobody can even compete in their conference.

UCOnn does play a handful of outstanding non conference opponents. But most of the teams in their conference are pure garbage. You could take the bottom five teams in the BIG and put them in the Big East and they'd probably finish 2-6 in the standings at the end of the year. Now I exaggerage of course but the Big East is probably 5 or 6th in terms of conference strength behind BIG, SEC, Big 12, PAC 12 and possibly the ACC in that order.

She should be 1st team. Paige Bruecker didn't have numbers even close. Politics I guess, just a joke.
It’s all all about The Godfather Geno and his stranglehold on the sport, nothing else. I would love to see one of the woman coaches bitch slap him after a game. He’s arrogant and if the truth to be told, the woman coaches hate he is the face of the sport.

Love the outrage about the Big Ten leader in turnovers not making first team All American. Paige > Clark.

This is reaching Olympic Figure Skating levels of ridiculousness. What a joke.

Great info, thanks!

She is unbelievable. Fun to watch her dribble and pass as much as score.

Her dribbling is amazing, Rutgers could not trap her, and her passing is better.

2nd team AA and not on the Naismith list? Whatever....
