A little bit better team record and she's a first teamer, imo.
No disrespect intended - but different team and different coach (ie. Geno) and more than likely a different result. Don't shed any tears as she will have multiple 1st Team selections in her future. And a more bold prediction is she will end her career as the most decorated basketball player ever at Iowa. Note I didn't say greatest as someone would inevitably say she wasn't as good as say - Luka or Ronnie. She is a talent and as a basketball fan, got me interested in Iowa Women's basketball for the first time.
Congrats! I hope that Bluder can bring in a dynamic wing player that can pair with Caitlin. Hopefully Affolter can be that player next year.
Should be a nice selling point to other recruits having her on the team to play with! Yes she scores a lot of points, but she also has a lot of assists and is an excellent passer. Hopefully they can land another big fish to go along with Caitlin!
Whoever is "first team" must really be good! I didn't see much that she did wrong this year...Where might she improve the next couple?
Yes! I like McCabe a lot, unfortunately she's still 2 years away. Was hoping the Jensen might be that player, and she still could, but her not getting on the floor much the 2nd half of the year probably says she is a role player moving forward.
Turnovers ....although another poster pointed out that Bluder encourages "risky" passes. Clark is an elite passer, her assist number speaks for itself. She does get a little reckless with the dribble IMO but that is a bit nitpicky because she is a skilled ball handler, the TOs off the dribble will decrease I'm sure.. She can improve her defense but that goes for the whole damn team.... just way too many second chance points and easy dribble drive baskets surrendered each game.
I agree that she will need to cut down on turnovers and can certainly improve her defense. However........ don't want her to cut down too much on turnovers. Here are the top 8 in the NBA in turnovers:

Wow! She leads the country in ppg and is second in assists/game. She's not 1st team? The player ahead of her must be pretty damn good.
