We have been living in some of the most exciting years for Iowa Basketball. Even during the Lute/Dr. Tom and C. Viv years, we didn’t have players that have achieved the records and awards that our most recent and current players have! Exciting times for sure, but my biggest wish is for both teams to at least make the final fours and compete for the championships!

Michelle Edwards may very well have been the best player to don an Iowa Women's Basketball Uniform. She came when Iowa for Vivian's second year at Iowa when Viv just started building the Iowa Program from scratch. They were second her first two years and Big Ten Champs her Junior and Senior Seasons. In '88 she won virtually all the major awards. She was the first Iowa player to have her jersey retired and is in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
