Caitlin Clark playing in front of the Carver Crowd is something I’m really looking forward to
Anybody going to go meet Caitlin today?
If Iowa were smart they’d try and set up a home and home with UConn for her jr and sr seasons. With their freshman phenom last year bueckers and Clark it could be a rare women’s regular season game getting good buzz and hype by promoting those two like the tourney game.
I went to the ICubs game and got an autograph. She was extremely personable and could not ask for a better ambassador for Iowa athletics. I didn't even stay for the game.

I actually love this idea. Iowa would be the underdog all the time but it would be a fun game to watch as Iowa's program keeps improving.

I think it depends how long Caitlin plays against some of Iowa's early opposition. She should be able to score against the low major schools early, but if the coaches take her out sometime in the third, she might come up just short. If she stays in most of those games until the mid-4th she'll have a much better chance.
Not gonna lie, I hate the attention stuff like this gets.
Caitlin could easily break the record if she wanted to -- we all know she is an incredibly gifted scorer. So my answer to the "can she?" question is yes. But the better question is: should she? From a perspective of team success, my answer to that is probably no. She would be the first to say, I would wager, that we are best as a team when the scoring is spread around. That makes us much more difficult to guard. I'd much rather see Caitlin average a double double (20pts/10ast) in our non-conference games than break an arbitrary scoring record.
Gustafson scored over a thousand points in her senior year and Iowa went to the Elite Eight. I don't see an issue for Clark to break the aforementioned record.
Sigh, and I thought I was gaining on my Spanish, but right there there are a couple of words that look familiar but I just don't get their precise meanings.

in these cases "temporada" is season and altura is heights or high, as in reaching new heights. I took some liberties with my translation
BTW, I am not a native Spanish speaker but I have a master's degree in it, lived in Spain for a while, and absolutely LOVE the language and the people who speak it for the most part. Incredible culture and literature.
