Could this be about them over Ulis? I have no idea if he played in Vegas etc... but this certainly sounds like the deal with Ulis. The only thing I don't see is Fran being spoken to like that by anyone.

Wasn't Fran. And in fact since it is just two years ago when Iowa and Kentucky were recruiting Ulis, it doesn't even fit the timeframe.

To my recollection, Cal didn't end up in the hospital, so I'd say it's safe to assume that it wasn't Fran.

If you listen to the actual audio (http://media.espn929.com/a/108192522/gary-parrish-show-8-11-15-hour-2-w-geoff-calkins-in-seg-1.htm?) around the 37 minute, he mentions the Tyler Ulis recruitment before launching into this story, so it definitely wasn't in reference to Ulis and Fran. Parrish did say it was within the last 3 three years, so it could've been pretty much anyone recently.

funny reading all the comments from yUK fans; cal is a boss, love him even more, etc... the guy is a shyster and makes used car salesmen look like saints. just like his namesake in the article, cal may not make it through to the end of his performance before being gunned down.
