I sure hope we are quietly securing Martin as the Texas mega-fantasy continues.....in a world where commitment means zilch and transfers occur because of ego bruises and homesickness, we still need bedrock wr's imo. We need homegrown talent too as alluring as this Texas infatuation is. January weather is coming.

The thing that we as fans ( at least most of us ) don't know is just how hot Martin is on Iowa, The coaches know. I also find it rather funny that it seems the staff can't win with some fans, Some think we depend to much on homegrown talent, Some, like you, Worry that we are recruiting out of state too much. I am excited that we seem to have a chance of getting a bit of pipeline going in Texas, It is a huge pool of talent and if we have a chance to tap into that talent pool on a yearly basis I think it is a huge win for the program. I understand your concerns, In the end I think you should just trust the coaching staff to know what is going on with the program and who they should and shouldn't be trying to sign.
