Can Anybody Remember an Iowa Team So Good at Home and So Bad on the Road?

I have been following Iowa Football for decades and I can't remember an Iowa team so good at home and so bad on the road.

I guess the team really feeds off the energy at Kinnick. I went to two games at Kinnick this year and Iowa won both and scored over 40 each time.

Played bad teams at home as usual. This team isn’t beating Oregon,OSU or Indiana at home.

We weren't that good at home. Sleep walking through the first half against both Ilinois St and Troy.. lost to ISMoo.

Also won @ Minnesota...supposedly a tough rivalry game.

That said, every team plays better at home.

Yep, though some of that was schedule related. Toughest games were@ Ohio St, Michigan and Wisconsin. We did win in Ames but Kirk delivered one of his classic turds @ NW

I looked back at the 1997 season and you are right. I went to a few games that year including the tough loss in Evanston. As I recall, it rained, sleeted and snowed that day. Fry called a dumb game.
