Could this potentially work where Brian is demoted from OC to OL coach and they do not extend the o-line coaches contract? This may be a way out for Kirk to make a change, not have to fire his son, sell hope for the future, and allow someone else to take over. Iowa is 7th to last in total yards per game in FBS, 14th last in rushing, and 27th last passing out of 130 teams.
Brian has two weeks in a row called the same plays on 3rd and 2 and 4th and 1. It also kills me they called a timeout on 4th and 1 after seeing 5 guys up the A and B gap and then still decided to run the FB dive. He is inept and there needs to be a change.
I guess it still may not matter until Kirk gets out of the way but open to thoughts.
