The best news came from fifth-year senior running back Jordan Canzeri. Iowa’s leading rusher injured his right ankle on the second carry of the Big Ten title game. But he declared himself 100 percent Tuesday, saying that this sprain was less severe than the one he suffered on his left ankle Oct. 17 against Northwestern that kept him out three weeks.

“I’m ready to go,” said Canzeri, who is 24 yards shy of becoming Iowa’s first 1,000-yard rusher since 2011. “I’m very grateful for the medical staff that helped me get to this point in time.”

I don't recall EVER wanting an Iowa player to have a bigger game. Jordan has shown such heart and persistence through his career. He's made himself a special player. He deserves a special finale.

I can still see him playing against Oklahoma in that bowl game. He couldn't have weighed more than 170 pounds soaking wet and did a very commendable job given the circumstances against an OU squad that was ranked #1 going into the season. This has been a special season I hope they can cap it off by winning the granddaddy of em all.

Hadn't thought of that game for some time. Jordan has really developed into a special RB. Much improved. He can be very proud of his career.

I can only hope I'm 100% by kickoff.

In high school, I had a similar sprain, before a big HS Hoops game. I iced then hot treated it the whole night prior. Result ? 17 points for me, (aka Pete Maravich) and a win for the good guys.

#goHawks !!! Great news about Jordan Canzeri being healthy on January 1 !

Maybe the best thing I've read outside of Jordan being healthy (OK, maybe tied for 2nd with CJ feeling better every day) was Duzey saying his condition has "improved immensely" over the past couple weeks and he feels like the explosiveness is coming back. He's a huge weapon when healthy, and also one that Stanford isn't going to see watching film on this year's Hawkeye team. Hoping Jake can finish his career as a Hawk being a key contributor in a Rose Bowl win.

What is wrong with Duzey? It's been so long I forgot.

Iowa paper reports today that KF said Jake Duzey is looking better in practice this week.
I hesitate to mess with what HKC and George have been doing, at this point.

The cousins have simply been OUTSTANDING in 2015

Couldn't possibly agree more. For me the only thing I want as much as I want Jordan to have a massive game is for King to get his 9th INT. Obviously an Iowa win is most important though.

I could not be more happy and excited for Jordan. Not only is he a great player but by all accounts and exceptional person. Hope he has the game he deserves and leads Iowa to a Rose Bowl victory.

Dirty tackle IMHO took him out of the B1G Championship game.

A strong and healthy Jordon Canzeri is the best Christmas present I could ask for.

Dirty tackle? A guy grabbed onto Canzeri and gotten taken for a 3 yard ride. There was nothing dirty about it, just unfortunate.

The local papers print more stories about Jordan doing positive things in the community like with youth programs than his excellent football skills. The guy will be successful long after his last football game
