Yes, spite is a great reason to support a racist demagogue who wants to use the power of the government to settle personal vendettas, wants to murder non-combatants for having the audacity to share genetic similarity to terrorists, supports torture, and brags that he could personally murder someone in front of a large crowd and not lose a vote. Why not vote in someone who who sounds like a dictator wannabe just to spite the "establishment"? That's a wonderful reason to elevate someone to being one of the (if not the) most powerful humans on the planet.
Trump is just any conservative out there with the plausible deniability of their racist language stripped away. That's why they hate him. Birtherism, c'mon. That was straight up racism from the gop.
Yet you don't seem to blame the establishment parties for taking the people to that point. You are a political slave to party politics and the establishment of either party. At what point do actual results start mattering to you?

I don't agree, but wonder if this might happen. Oddly, watching Mitt Romney make an arse of himself sort of made me dislike Trump less.
With Hillary as the opposition, he would be the only option for those who are fed up with the establishment, and he certainly isn't a right wing republican, so more people who usually vote D might be able to stomach him rather than vote for the establishment, or Hillary.
In all, I think the R panic is a bit premature, Trump has less than 1/4 of the necessary delegates thus far, and as soon as Cruz or Rubio drops out, Trump will get overtaken, the only danger is if they wait too long.

I have no problem with people supporting the anti-establishment. But I do have a problem when that anti-establishment candidate is totally incapable of doing the job.

I don't think he will either although I am not sure he will make it any worse. The point is it 100% won't get fixed unless a message, by the voters, is sent. If that means 4 years of Trump to get the political class to start representing the people and good of all the US vs just their big money donors then I am ok rolling the dice to have that message sent.
I don't vote or make decisions based on how it will impact tomorrow but rather play the long game. The truth is nothing changes for America if the same type of politician gets elected that is why a Clinton vs Rubio/Cruz is the absolute worst thing that can happen for this country (it is why I want Bernie to win the D nomination but that ship has appeared to sail). Personally I think we as a society will be better off once party politics dies off, or is at least weakened. Hell having no parties would be best IMO, if you want to run for office go out there and hustle on your own to get elected just have to have a campaign finance system to put all on a level playing field.
We need our representatives to care about Americans more than they care about getting reelected, i'm afraid for that to happen the current political class in America needs burnt to the ground and the best representation of that happen is the POTUS election.

Many Presidents have to fight the opposing party. If Trump was somehow elected, it would guarantee at least 4 more years of nothing getting done as he would also have to fight his own party who detests him. You won't see any public housing projects in Clinton's or Kennedy's neighborhoods.
