So, I randomly check a government auction site when I'm bored because you can find some pretty interesting stuff for sale. Today, I noticed the hardwood floor from Carver is up for auction. No bids yet, but it's starting at $25,000. Too bad I don't have the money or space for it, but I thought someone on here might be interested.

It looks like the auction is for the whole court plus the side court (76' x 122 ') and usually the buyer is responsible for removal, reassembly etc. I'm not personally connected with the sale or athletic department, so I really don't know any details other than what is on the website. I just thought some others might be interested in it and it doesn't seem like there's been any press about the auction.

If someone decides to buy it and sell sections, that would be cool too. ~480 pieces means each square is $55?
$100 a section for a chunk of Carver floor you'd think would sell quickly.

This couple should buy it. They will certainly have the room! And what's an extra $25k when you're building this monster.
