Carver hit 118 decibels Sunday vs #4 USC. 32nd consecutive sellout— the longest streak in the nation

I believe that is what you call an "amped" audience. Fought for three rebounds and four shots to get that Affolter 3.

It sounds incredibly loud throughout the entire game on replay. Have to credit iowa with responding to big buckets from USC in fairly short order. Never let them have a big run after the 2nd quarter.

It's crazy that's all the louder a place with roughly 5x the amount of fans can get.

What's Kinnick's?

118 decibels in Oct 2021 vs Penn State.

Nuts that an outdoor stadium was 2-3 decibels off a stadium of the same size except one has a roof and one doesn't...

Guinness World Record: Chiefs fans proudly clinched the Guinness World Record for the loudest stadium in sports. On September 29, 2014, during a game against the New England Patriots, Arrowhead Stadium reached an astonishing 142.2 decibels.

I wasn't there yesterday, but I have never heard CHA as loud as when Brooks Simpson pinned Eric Voelker from ISU. I swear the roof was about to come down.

It has to impress recruits. I watch games with empty, quiet arenas, and that includes programs Iowa competes against.

It was just a perfect day. 15,000 in the house. VERY loud. Beat #4 USC & JuJu. Students stormed the court. A ceremony for the greatest basketball player of all time.

A few other things:

* B1G competition is much tougher than what UConn & most other teams ever see.

* A player at Iowa doesn't have to be in the shadow of a roster full of 5 star players (UConn, South Carolina, etc).

* Iowa City is an awesome town.

Where else will these prospects get this OVERALL type of 4 year experience?
