CBS All American Team

I think they listened to Skattebo's self-serving Heisman promotion speech after the ISU game.

He had a hell of a game, but ISU was a sieve all game long and the Big 12 isn't gonna be known for their D anytime soon.

I have not seen the ASU guy but his stats were strong. He did not face the overall B1G defenses like KJ and certainly was not saddled with a bottom tier passing game like we experienced.

Lmao he’s literally the ultimate team guy. Heart and soul of the team. He feels he and the team have been overlooked all year and he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He’s also funny. Him striking the pose was hilarious. Iowa fans would freakin’ love the guy.

We don’t have to find ways to hate on everyone that has a spot for a guy on our team. KJ is the better talent and will be the better pro.

Don’t hate the guy. He had a hell of game against ISU but the fact remains the Big 12 isn’t known for their D. ISU only magnified that fact during the game.

KJ had 25car 187yds 2td vs ISU.
Similar stats but I'm just wondering, you don't suppose ISU was concentrating against the run because IOWA didn't have any passing attack to worry about and he still was able to put those numbers up? Our anemic aerial attack was 13-29-99yds 0 TD's and 2 intros.

Time of possession UI 29.50 ISU 30;10

Whereas ASU wasn't hamstrung with the same problem and picked up 219 yds and 3 TD's via 12 of 17 passing.

Time of possession ISU 29.33 ASU 30.27

Asu had just lost their star WR who had over 70% of their passing production. But Leavitt is a good QB so it’s not apples to apples.

Skattebo also didn’t play the 4th quarter.

KJ is the more talented back and will be the better pro but I can’t imagine a college back Iowa fans would have loved more than Skattebo if he was in black and gold. Dudes awesome. Pure football guy.

Agree, just thought he was a bit over the top talking about himself in that interview after the game. I like the Barry Sanders type of super star athlete I guess.

Higgins not a finalist for the Butkus Award, but he's a first team All-American. I think the Butkus Award people need to reevaluate their credibility.
UCLA kid that dominated Hawk game was much better. Higgins was invisable in that game and Sparty. More Hawk talk than anything.

Higgins was hurt in the second quarter of the UCLA game and didn't play the second half. How hard is it to attempt getting facts correct before trolling your rival's board?

I can see why you think that and it’s probably the first time you’ve seen him play or talk all year. He’s the ultimate team guy though and Dillingham said he wants him to think he’s the best when asked about it.

It’s an incredible team first culture akin to what I’ve seen at Iowa. A lot of the key players will be staying for less money. Opposite of Herm Edwards.

He’s also a kid that was told by D1 coaches that he’s not big enough or fast enough to play at that level. He’s worked so hard on his speed and power to become this. Reminds me of a Midwest kid.

Not sure who fed him that BS. He runs hard and waits for the seam to develop before cuttin loose.
