Cedar Rapids Cam Citations

I just received a couple $75 speed citations going through Cedar Rapids from an overhead cam.

Location of camera and supposed violation was i-380 North Bound @ J Avenue.

Someone has told me they have challenged these and they citations didn't hold up (not sure why).

Anyone have knowledge about this stuff?

I figured I'd just pay them but then decided to throw out for input after the other person mentioned what happened to them with this.

It appears the good folks in Cedar Rapids have lots of victims, er, customers.

Aside from the "you dont speed, you don't get a ticket" debate that is going on in the other thread (and will likely happen here) and as much as I disagree with these devices, there should be no excuses for CR residents to get a ticket from one of these things. (not directed to the OP, as I do not know if OP is a CR resident).

All speed cams in CR are set to 67MPH. Just set your cruise to 63MPH from 29th Street NE to 5th Ave SW. Will never have a problem.

Cause 65 will get you a ticket from an officer driving on 380. 63 probably won't?
