A Cedar Rapids woman was charged last week with child pornography after she initiated a private email chat in June with an FBI undercover task force officer in Washington, D.C., and later sent him graphic videos that she produced.

Abigail Lambert, 19, was charged with distribution of child pornography July 3 in U.S. District Court, according to court documents. She is accused of distributing seven videos of child pornography during an online private chat with the undercover FBI task force officer working with the Metropolitan Police Department-FBI Child Exploitation Task Force in Washington, D.C., on June 14.
On June 29, Lambert also sent a photo of herself that clearly showed her face, according to the criminal complaint.
Investigators conducted surveillance at a residence in Cedar Rapids associated with Lambert and found her vehicle parked outside on June 29. A search warrant was obtained and Lambert consented to a recorded interview with investigators.
During the interview, she admitted to producing the graphic videos, which involved her and a 9-year-old child and others involving a 12-year-old child.
Lambert also admitted to sending the videos from her phone to someone on June 29, the complaint stated.
If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
